2nd one I have purchased. Unfortunately the first one was not purchased from Northern and I paid a lot more than I did for this one. We live on a canal in florida and it gets a wee bit chilly in the winter and these heaters work really good. We like to sit out under our house (on pilings) and the cold doesn't bother us at all. Buy one.

I received the Mr. Heater next day, as promised. It worked perfectly right out of the box, making the downstairs living area comfortable during the Sandy power outage. Medium was enough to keep things warm.

Heater puts out a lot of heat in a small unit! Super easy to use but make sure you're able to get the Mr. Heater brand connector hose if you plan to use the 20 lb. tank.

Mostly a good unit

I'll agree it's a good heater, especially when used in a relatively confined space but don't expect it to perform the impossible as some acquaintances have, thinking it will perform in outdoor open areas with wind.
I have the hose and regulator to use 20# bottles but for convenience I prefer to refill 1# bottles to use when moving the heater to several areas.
The major disappointment to me is the pitiful fan, and I wasted $$ on the wall socket adapter thinking the fan would have more volume but wasn't so.
They did well in producing a quality heater but fell off the wagon in not putting a good fan along with it!!!!!

a great heater for garage use

I bought a Mr.Buddy heater this year so Icould work in my garage during the winter. It warmed the 2 car garage so well I didn't have to wear an extra sweater. I worked i my regular clothes and was comfortable.

The only heater I found that was rated for use indoors. Use in garage and no fumes like other heaters I have used.

This is a terrific little heater and is very safe. I also purchased the optional LP hose for using a 20 lb propane tank and the ac converter for using the fan from a wall outlet. Aside from being a great portable heater as is with these 2 options your cost to heat is greatly reduced (over the 1 lb cans) and your usage time is greatly increased. The ac converter for the fan makes it more convenient and and ecological to operate. A great little heater!!

After many hours of research, this heater was the only one I would use in a confined space. The oxegen sensor makes this unit safe for tents and indoor spaces. Other well known brands used for camping do not offer is this feature. This unit with the fan, heats a 16x14 tent quickly on the medium setting even in 30 degree temps. After two years of trouble free use, I would very much recommend it.

PURCHASED THE MR. BUDDY HEATER TO HEAT A 400 SQUARE FOOT GREENHOUSE. FIRST NIGHT THE TEMPERATURE DROPPED TO 27 DEGREES. THE HEATER KEEP THE INSIDE TEMPERATURE ABOVE 40 DEGREES FOR OVER 12 HOURS ON ONE 20 GALLON PROPANE BOTTLE. GREAT HEATER.

Bought this during power outage in December 2009.
I would recommend everyone had one. I have used it to even heat an out building and took it our cabin . Just a great product.

I purchased this to use in my shop when working in there on cold days, and as an emergency heater for the house in the event of a power failure. It does a great job and is a breeze to use if you purchase the optional quick connect hose and regulator kit. I recommend it to anyone needing a small, compact LP heater.

Bought this during the last freeze. It is very user friendly, compact and good for indoor and outdoor usage. It heats well using two camping propane tanks or you can hook it up to larger tanks. Very portable for many applications from warming lambs to knocking the chill off in working areas to thawing water lines, etc.

We purchased this heater over a year ago for our sun room for extra heat in the winter. By far the best heater we ever purchased, It gives off so much heat & keeps the air warm too so you don't need to be sitting on top of it to feel it. We even bought an extra one for spare & gave it to a friend for her home. She uses it all winter in stead of base board heating which cost a fortune to run & Love's it too. I had power out several times in winter & got this out in the main area to heat the house. When the repair guys came to fix the furnace, they couldn't believe how well & warm it heated things. I have had many friends buy them & so glad they did. My husband even takes it hunting & uses the little 1lb cylinders with it in his tree stand & keeps toasty on those freezing cold days hunting. A must have heater, helps save money on home heating & a great back up source. A+++
