FIBER ENERGY PRODUCTS WOOD PELLETS
Date:April 8, 2013
THESE ARE THE WORST PELLETS I HAVE BURNED TO DATE . THEY ARE BLACK IN COLOR SO THEY HAVE LITTLE TO NO QUALITY HEAT DO TO THE FACT THEY ARE MADE FROM MOSTLY JUNK WOOD . IF THEY WERE MADE FROM OAK HARDWOOD LIKE THE BAG SAYS THEY WOULD BE A LIGHT BROWN COLOR AND WOULD HAVE LITTLE ASH CONTENT . ALSO THE PELLET SIZE RANGES FROM 1/4" TO 3 1/2" LONG WITH WILL PLUG UP YOUR AUGER . MY STOVE WILL STOP EVERY DAY DO TO THE HIGH ASH CONTENT AND PELLET SIZE . TRACTOR SHOULD START TO READ THE REVIEWS AND WEED OUT THE PELLET BRANDS AND START TO SELL QUALITY PELLETS OR AS WORD GETS AROUND THEY WILL START LOOSING BUSINESS DUE TO SUB PAR PRODUCTS.

Terrible pellets
Date:March 14, 2013
Bought these pellets because they were from Maine. Supposed to be "Premium Grade", but they are not any good. They produce a lot of ash, little heat, and clog the air holes in my burn pot. Will not buy them again. They burn like they are softwood, not 80% hardwood 20% softwood like I was told.

live in northern california, use a quadrafire 1200 stove on thermastat. found that I could adjust feed rate down considerable with this brand (lignetics) over other brands I've used and were reasonable in price.

stove pellets

You have a problem with the stove pellets as they are plugging up the air holes in the burn pot. which creates a high flame and stove doesn't work correctly. I have had no problems with other pellets which where 1.00 less a bag. Stove is cleaned daily, but now don't dare leave home or leave it on at night. Twice a day cleaning it out after cool down. Wasting more pellets and they are burning way more then the others I have used. This is a new stove purchased in Nov.

pellet review - BUYER BEWARE
Date:January 30, 2013
Purchased three skids of Hardwood Heat pellets from TSC at the beginning of the fall season in 2012, I am not pleased with the heat or the amount of ash produced, but they are getting me through the winter. These Hardwood Heat pellets blacken the glass of the stove within hours of cleaning the heater and the pellets do not produce great heat. Had purchased Linetics the previous year, fall 2011 with great results. Will be thinking twice before purchasing pellets again from TSC and the pellets offered.

Pure fire wood pellets

These were rated well by other consumers. I bought a ton of these and it was a mistake. Mediocre heat and tons of clinkers. The glass got dirty very quick. I would not recommend these.

Quality depends on pellet manufacturer
Date:January 25, 2013
In the past I've purchased pellets from TCS without problems. This fall I purchased a ton of Michigan Wood Pellets (of Holland, Michigan) from a local TSC and they are terrible. They are worst pellets I've used to date. Each bag results in one to two cups of ash. In addition, they create such large clinkers in the burn pot that they block the air vents/ash drop holes. I'm forced to vacuum out the burn pot every day or two just to keep the heater working.

Garbage
Date:December 29, 2012
Recently bought a ton of Pure Fire wood pellets as TSC stopped carrying the Lignetics brand I bought in the past. Of 28 bags opened so far, I have had to sift the sawdust from 21 bags. Yesterday I opened a bag and could only see sawdust, so I sifted into a clean trash can. When I finished I had 9 1/2 pounds of sawdust in the can, from just one 40 pound bag. I will never buy this garbage again. If TSC keeps carrying these pellets, I will be shopping elsewhere.
They also produced a large amount of ash when burned.

Indeck Energy Premium Wood Pellets Review
Date:December 27, 2012
I have run a Travis Industries Yankee model pellet strove for the last five years. The pellets we purchased at TSC last year and this fall (Sommerset Premium Wood Pellets) worked very good, heat and some ash. Now TSC changed to Indeck Energy Premium Wood Pellets. Bought a ton not knowing they changed brands, but I was told this was a better product (for who). Heat production is below what we had from Sommerset and ash production is phenomenal if you want that stuff. Glass gets soot covered w/i two bags and we are cleaning the stove w/i five bags because of ash production. They aren't worth the price for the extra work and loss of BTU output. We are going back to TSC for another ton and if the same brand is there I will walk and check with competitors in the area.

Great product, Great price!
Date:December 12, 2012
I recently started burning TSC's hardwood pellets in my A-MAZE-ING Heat biomass boiler system. I have to heat a 138 year old ~2500 sq.ft. house with minimal insulation, in Wisconsin. I have not seen any more/less ash in my pan after burning 20 bags. I have noticed a difference in the thermal output. It seems to heat the water in the boiler faster than other brands i have used. Adjusting the damper properly, it does burn at a slower pace by 1/4 -1/2 bag a day.
I will recommend this brand to everyone!

Well worth it

I've seen some reviews that were negative here which I found surprising. I think the reason for that is that TS carries more than one brand. I bought the "Made In Maine" pellets and I'm pleased with it. I have a Harman stove though and it will burn anything well so maybe that is part of it.

Cheap is what you get
Date:October 23, 2012
I had been recommended these pellets by a friend, but after burning a few bags (before I bought 3 tons) I am extremely disappointed. Because I have a harman stove, I could tolerate the high ash, but the heat these pellets gave off was much lower than the softwood pellets (LG) I used last year.
The price is good, but I have a feeling I'll have a much warmer house by spending a little more on a quality pellet.

Horrible pellets
Date:February 12, 2012
The TS I get my pellets changed brands and now only has Somerset pellets. It produces excessive fly ash and leaves a hard residue in the burn pot and the only way to clean it out is to remove the pot and chisel it off. I have to shut it down about every 4-5 days and vacuum it out. Four bags will produce about 10 cups or more ash. I don't recommend this brand and I hope TS goes back to the brand they had last year. I wish I could remember the brand.
