Awesome!
Date:March 25, 2013
I recently bought my 60" 27hp ZT from the Stephenville, TX store and I love it! I have been running ZTRs for 20+ years and this is the toughest and smoothest mowing mower I have ever crawled on. The Kohler engine has great power and the machine makes a great cut. Don't mess around with "stamped" decks like John Deere and box store mowers and don't get a Briggs engine! My neighbors have all stopped by to see my mower and are very envious. Bad Boy mowers are USA tough!

I have 5 acres used to cut 2 with JD lawn tractor 3 with tracktor&brushog. Do it all with ZT now. Mowed with it this year have had no problems at all. Starts great, runs great, Cuts great. My back 3 acres have a steep hill to go down and up and I was woried about how it would handle. I was pleased that it did so well. Tip, get use to your machine befor you try to zip on hills. I had no problems and it handles well if you go slower. Every dealer will tell you that they are not recomended for hilly terain. I read some really bad reviews and thought I would write one. My friend down the road bought one this year also and he has had no problems and loves it too.

Gtreat mower

I have taken the time to read all that i a
can about the ZT 60 mower and ones that are similar. We bought this mower about 2 months ago and have no complaints. I laugh at some of the reviews. What do people expect for the money spent ? I think some people need to take the time to learn how to use this mower properly. Anything you buy today may have some issue but these guys are producing a great product and they stand behind it. Try one and you will not regret it.

Great ZTR
Date:October 14, 2012
I bought this mower 2 mowing seasons ago, and it's just as good now as when I bought it. I love the solid construction of it, and how easily it is to mow with. I've read some of the bad reviews and I'm amazed that some people seemed to have problems with them. There isn't hardly anything bad I can review on the mower, except maybe the location of the gas tank, which is on the same side of the mower you'd like to hug up to things to mow close to. I have long fence lines I mow next to and the barbed wire rubs on the plastic tank at times. The only other thing I consider a minor inconvenience is where the oil drain plug is. I have to wipe down the engine compartment, because it doesn't all drain out the hole in the frame. Other than those two things I would have no qualms buying another one.

Don't Waste Your Money!
Date:August 3, 2012
I bought the 48" MZ series mower 12 weeks ago. I have a level sodded 3 acre yard in which I cut once a week. The third week the plastic idler pulley on the cutting deck I literally fell apart. Called the manufacturer and they were nice enough to send me another one. Four weeks later the tension pulley did the same thing and a again they sent me a replacement. After cutting yesterday I notice that the idler pulley is about to go out again. I paid alot of money expecting to get a good product. Very disappointed!!! I should have kept my Toro.

worst product ever
Date:July 31, 2012
Bad Boy lawn mowers are the worst mowers I have ever had the displeasure of owning. I first bought the 42" zero turn only to trade it up to the 60" because the deck kept falling off. serious manufacturing defect. After getting the 60" I have had nothing but problems since. Oil leaks deck tilting sideways by itself. 2 times the deck bearings burned up in less than 6 months. It's in the shop more than at home. I have a flat yard and keep it in the garage. I could only imagine if I really challenged it on hills and such. Do yourself a favor and buy another product.

HEAVY MOWER TOO SLOW AS IS THE SERVICE
Date:June 26, 2012
I BOUGHT THIS MOWER 2 YEARS AGO THINKING IT WAS A GREAT VALUE. IT WAS HEAVY AND DURABLE AND THE EXTENDED WARRANTY SEEMED LIKE A GREAT OPTION. WHAT I FOUND WAS THAT THE MOWER IS VERY SLOW COMPARED TO THE SCAG, JOHN DEERE, OR EXMART MOWERS THAT COST SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS MORE. IT IS NOT JUST A LITTLE SLOWER IT IS VERY SLOW! WHEN COMPARING MOWERS LOOK AT THE GROUND SPEED THAT IS LISTED NOT JUST THE SIZE OF THE DECK OR HORSE POWER. BETTER MOWERS RUN 8 TO 10 MPH AND SOME FASTER THAN THAT. THIS ONE IS HALF AS FAST. THERE ARE UPGRADED COMMERCIAL MODELS FROM BAD BOY WITH STRONGER PUMPS AND HIGHER GROUND SPEEDS. HAD I LOOKED AT THAT I WOULD HAVE SPENT MORE FOR A TRUE COMMERCIAL GRADE PUMP AS THIS ONE IS TOO SLOW. AT 100 HOURS THE ELECTRIC LIFT QUIT WORKING AND HYDRO PUMP WAS SENDING LITTLE POWER TO ONE WHEEL. I TURNED IN A CLAIM AND IT TOOK A WEEK FOR THE REPAIR SHOP TO RETURN MY CALLS AND PICK IT UP. IT HAS BEEN THREE MORE WEEKS AND EACH TIME I CALL THE SHOP I AM TOLD THE MANAGER IS OUT OF THE OFFICE OR I GET A VOICE MAIL. ALSO GETS STUCK ON EVEN SLIGHT INCLINE ON WET GRASS NEEDS BETTER TIRES.

Love it so far
Date:June 1, 2012
Have had the 60" cut mower for 3 mowings of my acre and half yard with lots of things to mow around. Cut mowing time by an hour from my 48" lawn tractor. Cuts very nice. The first cutting was after I was without a mower for two weeks. Zoomed right through the heavy stuff and left the yard looking neat.

Just an ok mower
Date:May 18, 2012
I bought the Bad Boy ZT 60 inch mower and for the price and high quality construction and I have had it for a coulple months now. I mow several yards on the side and needed a good mower...This mower does great on FLAT ground, the cut looks professional and it cuts through anything with the 27hp Kohler. It is terrible on any kind of uneven ground or side ditch, it scalps the yard on turns and bumps and has NO traction. I kinda wish I would have spent the extra money for a real commercial style mower.

Fantastic mower
Date:May 9, 2012
I have owned this mower since 2009 and have no regrets. I am just now replacing the blade belt for the first time and only because a large stick kicked in to the belt and took out a chunk. It mows fast, sets cut height with an electric switch (easy) and has never had an issue. I spent a day doing the initial setup to have the cut flat and height matched to the markers on the height gauge. Except for oil and filter changes I have not had to do anything since, except sharpen the blades which keep sharp a LONG time. It takes me around 1 3/4 hours to finish mowed near 4 acres around trees and terrain. I would look at adding the air ride seat as it will be a rough ride at 10ish MPH on bumpy terrain when you are going all out with the tires inflated to a high setting.

bad boy is the best
Date:April 11, 2012
Purchased at TSC about two yrs ago. I mow over three acres every week. This mower is the best mower I have ever owned. It will mow hills and slopes if you take your time and get comfortable with controls. Also if you slow down and steer it right it will not dig up the ground around trees. It is the fastest and best mower sold. Rock solid construction. This mower is made like we made things 50 yrs ago in this country. WITH PRIDE.

Died in 14 Mos & Not for Middle TN
Date:August 20, 2011
Bought mine from TSC May 2010 after reading the TSC reviews. 2 Mos after warranty (14 mos later) the charging system has died. Put a new battery in 2 wks ago and it died.
Terrible, even dangerous, on mid-Tenn hills. I've gone over the side of the steep part a few times and into the woods twice when ground is wet. It also tears up the grass on turns. My wife is very unhappy about that.
On the less sloped area by the barn & road it's incredible, fast and cuts real even. But up the hill by the house its a terrible mower. Should have spent the extra couple of grand for a mower I could have demo'd on the hills like my Manager did. He got a Snapper commercial with 60" and loves it on his hills.

Great Mower but too small for big hills
Date:July 24, 2011
I did a lot of research on ZTRs and was thoroughly impressed with the Bad Boy brand. I checked out the 6000-ZT at my local TSC and could see why it was so highly regarded.
After talking to the sales person regarding my specific property and its hills we concluded that the 6000-ZT was about the minimum that I could get away with.
Well... The mower was absolutely incredible as the first time out I was cutting 24 inch grass. It did a wonderful job and with just 2 cuttings a few days apart it was difficult to tell that the grass had ever been abused that bad.
The first cutting took 3.5 hours for just over 3 acres and the second cutting took about an hour and 45 minutes.
Unfortunately the hills did prove to be a little too much for it and it would slip a bit in some places especially in high humidity, so I had to take it back.
However the best testimony that I can give it is that I marched right down to the commercial Bad Boy dealer and purchased an Outlaw. That mower weighs half again as much as the ZT and has much larger wheels and wheelbase which makes it more stable on inclines. Other than that I really liked the ZT and would have kept it.
BTW - TSC was great about taking the ZT back which makes them number 1 on my list!

Awesome purchase!
Date:April 26, 2011
Bought this mower yesterday and went home and mowed 3 acres. It cut my mowing time in half. Used to cut with a 54 inch tractor but no more. Very comfortable, very fast and just fun to drive. Does an excellant job on the grass too! I'd like to say that I looked at every zero turn out there but I couldn't find nothing better than a Bad Boy.

Rugged and well built
Date:March 25, 2011
I had been looking at this mower for about a year since I first saw one on a trip to my local store. At first glance, I could not believe how sturdy the frame and deck were! I went to the Bad Boy website and checked out the specs.
I sold a compact diesel tractor and finish mower that I had been using for 12 years and bought the ZT 60 last Sunday. I could not believe how easy it was to learn to drive (except reverse..haven't mastered that yet) I've only mowed with it once, but I do believe it will be a durable, low maintenace mower.

this mower is spectacular. it cuts smooth and turns well. the Kohler engine is more power than it needs but really who can complain about more power! the one thing i have notices is on angled areas it has a tendency to scalp, but that is the only thing i have found to be difficult. that being said once i had found the scalp point in the yard i avoid them with the bad boy and just use my trim mower which does not take long at all. i mowed for a park district for a summer and the Zero turn we had was twice the price alittle faster and liquid cooled, but honestly for the price the bad boy is the way to go. also if you put the right lights on it it does great after dark for those times when you cant start till dusk. i Love this machine.

Great Mower
Date:May 11, 2010
Purchased this mower after countless hours of research. Had decided to purchased an Ariens Zero turn from home depot and then a new to our area Tractor supply open in a nearby town, and we went to visit and there it was. Glad I waited. I went home did some more research on Bad Boy brand which were all great reviews went back and bought it. Had it for about 45 days and love it. Does everything great. Not as fast I would like. Everything is super heavyduty commercal. My wife loves it and she cuts the grass every weekend. Cuts faster than 60 inch finish mower on the tractor. Cust my mowing time by a third. Would recommend this mower to anyone wanting a zeroturn. Not a better buy out there I have looked. Store and staff were great and great terms on special purchase program.
