I bought this to use on the river. Have only used it twice and both times were a blast. Very easy to pedal and steer. The only drawback is the seat was too hard and I had to use a cushion. Made my tush sore. The river gets choppy and water was splashing on us, best to use on calm water. You do have to be careful of the rudder when you pull it in and out of the water, not very sturdy. Easily removed tho. Would recommend to a friend.

Great for our pond!

We love this paddle boat. It is just perfect for our pond. Great for relaxing and also entertainment for family gatherings. It is easy to maneuver and lightweight to transfer if needed. The sale price is also perfect for a smaller paddle boat. The rear seats are small but we don't mind - no one sits in them for long periods. It really is perfect for a pond but prob a little small for lake use.

Pretty nice boat for the money; it gets you out on the water.
If you pedal a bike alot you will love it.
If you pedal very fast will just wear yourself out, slow and steady will get you there just as fast.
Steering is sensitive, takes a little getting use to the rudder and keeping you going straight.

Overall, not a bad boat. Just dont plan on taking a long trip, your legs might tucker out.

Good for smaller bodies of water

We just got this and took it right out on the big lake. It's a little difficult to maneuver because the rudder is just a small plastic piece. I think it will do better in smaller areas like coves, ponds, etc. It also drifts easily if it's windy, even if you are peddling pretty good. Also, if you have long legs you'll be a little squished and feel like your knees are going up into your chest when you peddle. However, this is the best price by far that I have found, especially for one that includes the canopy. It will get you out on the water for much less money than boats or jet skis. I think we'll have fun with it this summer.

OMG!!! What a blast! This boat is def the way to go. Love that on this seahawk the front bench seat is way more roomie than any of the others you may find somewhere else and the (+) side is that it is cheaper. 1st boat I have found that is a few inches bigger for less money and it has all the same features. But the best thing for sure is that my 1 1/2 yr old has more room between my husband and I in the front. It can def hold 3 adult up front. My husband weighs 185 and me 143 and my friend at 140 and it was easily comfortable.

Perfect Fit

5 seated Sea Hawk pedal boat is the perfect fit for our pond and light enough for easy dry docking. Very enjoyable to be in the center of the pond watching the fish feed, away from our pets and great a great place to watch a sunset or sunrise from. Really enjoy the quiet relaxing time. A great destressor!!!

I purchased this pedal boat last year and my kids absolutely love it. I have 3 teenagers who always have some friends over, and they have really enjoyed being able to go out on the lake. They have used it for fishing (so the cooler comes in handy). The canopy is great for when the kids want to go out on the lake and just relax without getting too much sun.

SeaHawk 5 Seat Paddle boat small,not adult seating

We already owned a "Water Wheeler 5 Seat" by KL Industries, and we wanted an additional paddle boat for grown kids with grandbabies when they visit. We went to Tractor Supply to purchase their "Sea Hawk 5", expecting it to be the same as my existing paddle boat, which it is not, smaller. The TSC "Seahawk 5" pedal boat is fine, we just wanted to alert buyers that "5 people" doesn't mean what you think - certainly not five teenagers, not even three teenagers or adults for comfort. Its really a comfortable boat for two teenagers/adults in the front, a somewhat uncomfortable seat for the center operator if boating alone, and the rear seats are only for the smallest of children. So, while it works for the kids and grandbabies, we'll very soon grow out of it, so wanted to give a "heads up". We now wish we had spent $150 more and held out for the Boat Dealer's KL Industries "Water Wheeler 5 Seat" instead. Really no other faults, well constructed and a bargain for two passenger comfort. If you have teenager girls (yes we had all girls!) consider the 1-3 person "Sun Slider" so they can paddle out and sunbathe as the seats slide back to lounge out.
