If you need a waterer now and want to keep you initial investment down this is your waterer.
Pros:

Cons:
- Design pulls water from external supply lip into unit. If water in lip is nasty it goes into the main reservoir.
- As others have stated sealing problems with top cap. We notice the cap will sometimes slightly cross thread. It doesn't damage the unit but causes it not to seal correctly.
- Lifespan - with heavy use ours only lasted about 2 years.

If you properly analyze the symptom(s) your animal is having and apply according to the label it appears to work.
This product is fairly inexpensive and we highly recommend you keep some on hand in your livestock care kit because as Murphy so often does no one will have it available when you need it.

Metal...ah the feel

It is nice to have a real gas can made out of metal. The only reason for the 4 star rating in the cap handle is made out of plastic. I'm buying this gas can to keep until I die and want all metal.

Stinks but works

Nearly makes you gag and we have been around livestock for years. Does a decent job of attracting flies and these things fill up however the smell makes it difficult to tolerate. Refills will set you back a few $$ as well.

If you feed your poultry all store bought feed they will enjoy this feed however we have spoiled ours one time too many and now they'll eat it but tend to be a little picky on what they will eat and only eat portions.

Decent and Durable for Price

This feeder holds up well over the last year that we've owned it however there are two small caveats.
1 - Every once in awhile a chicken will gets its beak wedged between the white posts and the bottom
2 - If using something with a finer powder (like crumbles) and you need to disassemble to clean the slots for reassembling are gummed up and must be cleaned out before reassembly.

12EW Good for Wider Feet

This is a nice boot for my wider feet and gets thoroughly abused working around our acreage however it is showing wear sooner than I would like for a boot in it's price range. Stays dry when getting lighter water but serious water will obviously get your feet wet.

Mice Run & Hide

If you give your cute little feline this stuff you better be ready to wipe out the mice population for miles. Although this says indoor our outdoor cats eat it up and then catch mice at night to 'supplement' the Science Diet (SD). We now have offerings placed by our front door when we come outside to thank us for being such great cat owners and buying SD.

Recipe for a Dog Super Hero

If you want to keep your dog in tip top superhero shape this is the food for you! Our dog can now spend all day rounding up the livestock, lick the new goat kids clean and protect our family...and this is before lunch. Buy the larger bag because all of the hard work will make your pooch hungry.

Great Emergency Backup

If you live in the country you know extended power outages can be a way of life. Living in a cheap mobile home without the best installation requires something to keep me from becoming a redneck popsicle and this is it. Can take the small disposable propane tanks or the large tank with the optional (not included) hose. Don't forget to purchase the batteries for the fan.
Read the instructions completely to prevent making the common mistakes.
